Mohan Marchetty Announces Campaign for Leander City Council – Place 3
Leander, TX — Longtime technology leader, small business owner, and active community volunteer Mohan Marchetty has announced his candidacy for Leander City Council – Place 3, pledging to bring clear priorities, collaborative leadership, and a community-first mindset to the role.
“Leander is growing fast, and the decisions we make now will shape the future our families inherit,” said Marchetty. “I’m running because together, we can grow with balance, protect what makes this city special, and make local government more responsive to the people it serves.”
With more than 20 years in technology leadership, successful entrepreneurship, and hands-on community service, Marchetty has built trusted relationships across Leander through his work with local schools, nonprofits, and business networks. He serves on the board of the Leander Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) and has been an active member of both the Leander and Cedar Park Chambers of Commerce.
Over the past few years, Marchetty has supported community initiatives ranging from student mentorship and public library access to emergency relief for local families. His campaign will focus on ensuring that city planning keeps pace with growth, that first responders are well supported, and that residents have more visibility into how city resources are used.
“I don’t believe in waiting for a title to start showing up,” Marchetty added. “I’ve been working alongside others in this community long before I filed to run. This campaign is about listening, solving real problems, and serving with integrity.”
